Lizze Davies was awarded an Exemplary Writing Award for her infographic “5 Hypocritical Things that the University of Denver Has Done to Their Indigenous Population.”
Since I am personally not a member of the Indigenous community, when making this project and researching into our school’s hypocrisy, I made sure that all of the information included came directly from those who are directly affected by our university’s actions. The purpose of this project for me was to educate our student population on (just) the surface level hypocrisy of our Chancellor and university as a whole and consolidate some of that information into one source for easier accessibility. I am aware that this is not my story to tell and that I do not by any means have the ability to understand and feel the struggles of those effected by our University’s injustices.
